St Peter, Woolhampton
Welcome to St Peter’s Church, Woolhampton
St Peter's is the Anglican Church for Woolhampton. We follow an unbroken tradition of worship in the village dating back to the 13th century. Today we have a variety of services from a Family service to Holy Communion and offer a warm welcome to all, whether regular members of the congregation, new residents in the village or visitors. We have coffee and biscuits after the service every Sunday which provides an opportunity to get to know one another better.
We have close ties with two schools which are next to the church: Elstree School and Woolhampton C of E Primary School.
The church is normally open from approximately 10:00 am until 4:00 pm and offers a place for private prayer or reflection. For access outside these times, or if the church is locked, please contact one of the churchwardens (see below). There is a prayer request book in front of the font and all requests are offered to God during the Sunday service. The church has some interesting architectural features and stained glass.
St Peter's is one of six churches in the Benefice of Aldermaston and Woolhampton. For information about the Benefice, including who's who in the ministry team, Benefice news, services in our other churches, and events and activities, please click here.
If you wish to enquire about the history of the church, genealogy or the churchyard please contact one of the churchwardens.
